Performance and gamification

How AtleetIQ tracks performance, PRs, XP, badges, and leaderboards. Keep athletes engaged between meets.

Performance tracking

AtleetIQ tracks performance for each athlete so coaches and athletes can see progress over time.

  • PRs (personal records) – Results from meets and (where applicable) workouts feed into PRs per event or metric.
  • Trends – Coaches see team and individual trends; athletes see their own progress.
  • Dashboard – Key stats and recent results are visible on the coach and athlete dashboards.

Performance data comes from meet results and, as the product grows, from completed workouts and other inputs. Everything is tied to the athlete’s profile and visible according to role (coach vs athlete).

Gamification: XP, badges, leaderboards

Gamification keeps athletes engaged and makes improvement feel rewarding.

  • XP (experience points) – Athletes earn XP for activities such as completing workouts, competing at meets, and hitting milestones. The exact rules can evolve as we add features.
  • Badges – Unlock badges for achievements (e.g. first meet, PRs, consistency). Badges appear on the athlete’s profile and dashboard.
  • Leaderboards – Rankings by XP, badges, or other metrics. Athletes see where they stand; coaches see team engagement.
  • Streaks – Encourage consistency (e.g. training or logging) with streaks. Visible on the athlete dashboard.

Coaches don’t need to run the gamification manually – it runs on top of real activity (meets, workouts, etc.). Coaches can use leaderboards and engagement as motivation tools.

Who sees what

  • Athletes – See their own XP, badges, leaderboards, and streaks.
  • Coaches – See team-wide gamification, leaderboards, and individual athlete engagement.

Gamification is included for all athletes on the platform; it’s part of the Coach plan and Organisation/Enterprise. For roles and pricing, see Coach and athlete roles and Pricing.
